September 2007:  My wife Sandy and I have been married for over 40 yrs. I am a retired Boilermaker by trade. I retired 4 1/2 years ago. Sandy has also been a stay at home mother and wife.

When I retired I knew I could not just sit around at home. I enjoy being active. Sandy and myself had been at that time really getting into shuffleboard and just started playing in a few different tournaments.

After being around shuffleboard and playing it, I decided I would like to start buying shuffleboards that needed restored. I knew that would take up some of my spare time now that I was retired.

I bought my first board and restored it 4 yrs ago. Since then I have bought and sold many boards. I keep some shuffleboards myself for tournaments that Mark Gray and myself put on. We have a tournament called the Kansas City Shoot Out. That is becoming a favorite tournament for many. We feel blessed that this tournament has become such a great success.

I got into buying Rock-ola's and own several. I have also picked up some Rock-ola lights, Rock-ola t-square, Rock-ola scoreboards. We have a Rock-ola in our home that we shoot on often.

I taught myself to pour polymer tops. It took a while to get it right though. I enjoy pouring tops. I also started making boards wipes. I do make custom board wipes and have several around around the country.

Buying, selling, and repairing table shuffleboards has become a great hobby for me.
